Oh You Pretty Thing

It’s time again for Six Word Saturday

and this week I must proudly say:

I Have Got A Lovely Mug

I’ve always known this, of course. Johnny Depp’s eyes are the same colour as mine, George Clooney has exactly the same number of ears as I have and my name and Brad Pitt’s often appear in the same sentence (though admittedly the sentence is “Tinman looks absolutely nothing like Brad Pitt”).

But my Adonisness is not what I’m referring to here. I am referring to this:

I bought it online here at the Literary Gifts Company (have a look through their whole website, there are about a million things on it I’d love to have). I got it after seeing it on my friend Speccy’s blog, so if you all decide to buy one (and who could resist) then if you’re reading this, LGC, it’s really she who should get the commission.

But does it work, I hear you ask. Does using it stir my muse whilst I am stirring my tea?

Well it inspired today‘s post, so I’d have to say so far so good.

I want one! And that’s not a broad hint like yours:

‘(have a look through their whole website, there are about a million things on it I’d love to have).’

Well, I sat down in front of my computer last night and suddenly Mrs Tin appeared with a cup of tea in that mug, so it can work both ways.

Well my kids all laughed when they saw it, Kylie. But you’re right, I don’t think they know how to take this whole blog thing…

I think you need some, Ron. Can I recommend a mug for you to drink it from (I need the commission too).

For what it’s worth… When I rea JUST the six words, I knew you meant coffee mug! Maybe I am more aware of a mug since I am on the patio with a mug of coffee myself while Irene’s winds gust and she shares some much needed rain… I’m not on the coast, though!

Glad you’re not on the coast, and getting some rain, I’ve heard a lot of places in the States really need some.
Thanks for coming by, hope you enjoyed it.

It is, isn’t it, Jenilee. As soon as I saw it I thought “I must have that”, which isn’t really like me.

I really like it, Starla, it’s replaced my previous favourite (which was a Monk mug, the kids reckon I’m like him sometimes).

My word, but you are a pretty thing(!!!), you cup you! 🙂

I love it, Mr. Tin. I just finished reading a bit of your ‘about’ post. I am getting over a spear of ‘Derealisation’ after my recent surgery. It involves constipation, laxatives, and … A part of my body does not belong to me but rather to someone whom I cannot determine his/her identity. I think it has to do being on the extreme limit with pain pills too.
Happy 6WS! Happy Web shopping some more! 🙂

Thanks Jim. I’m sorry to hear about the Derealisation (it’s a nightmare, isn’t it) but I’m following your progress after your surgery on your own blog and hope you’re getting better.

I love it! When I first read the words I thought “yay I love new coffee cups” Then i kept reading and thought “who calls their face a mug” THEN I kept reading more and I am very excited about your new cup!! I saw a baby bib at Target the other day that said “Im the star of mommies blog” I wanted to get it but didn’t!

Oh, do get the bib if you see it again, that’s just brilliant (and then take a photo and put it on your blog).

Love the mug – it’s just what I need. I didn’t participate in 6WS this week – I’ve been too sick.

Had to pop by though because I just remembered the song – Air Supply ‘Making love out of nothing at all’

Have a great week, Cheers, Fi

You’re right about the song, Fi. I’m so sorry that you’re still sick, it’s being going on for ages now.

Take care, and I hope you get better soon.

Cats would ignore the words even if they could read them, Ticklebear. That’s what they do, whatever they feel like doing.

I know, I turned the computer on this morning and was stunned at the number.
